Summary
Research on the prehistoric rock art of the Côa Valley, conducted as part of the PalæoCôa project, has significantly advanced the understanding of the Palaeolithic graphic cycle, particularly during the Magdalenian phases and adjacent periods. By integrating archaeological and geological contexts, the study provides a comprehensive framework for interpreting these ancient artworks. This approach has enabled researchers to better define the chronological sequence and cultural significance of the rock art, contributing valuable insights into the region's prehistoric human activity.
