Summary

Huangshan National Park's carbon footprint increased by 7% annually from 2006 to 2009, rising from 2674.92 to 3456.76 hm², despite being deemed sustainable during this period. The study identified electricity as the largest contributor to energy consumption-related emissions, followed by coal, diesel, gasoline, and liquefied petroleum gas. Researchers developed a Tourism Carbon Footprint Model (TCF) based on energy consumption structure to quantify and analyze these emissions, offering a practical tool for measuring tourism sustainability.
