Summary

A new species of stonefly, Rhopalopsole memorabilis, and the first provincial record of R. apicispina were identified from Shennongjia Nature Reserve in Hubei Province, China. The study, which surveyed Leuctridae (Plecoptera) populations, highlights the region's biodiversity while contributing to taxonomic knowledge. Researchers collected seven species across two genera, including the newly described R. memorabilis and a redescription of R. apicispina. This work expands the documented insect diversity in Shennongjia and provides critical data for conservation efforts.
