Summary

A significant positive correlation exists between local attitudes towards ecotourism benefits—such as economic development, social progress, cultural preservation, community empowerment, and environmental protection—and destination loyalty in Wadi Rum, Jordan. The study, which analyzed responses from 297 residents using regression, T-test, and ANOVA analyses, found no significant differences based on gender, age, or educational level. These findings suggest that ecotourism’s perceived benefits strongly influence long-term community attachment to the site, regardless of demographic factors.
