Summary

A significant potential for cultural tourism exists in the Ilocos Region, driven by the high perceived value of its heritage sites. These sites are recognized for their aesthetic appeal, inspirational and practical benefits, spiritual significance to tourists, and economic contributions through employment opportunities. The study, involving 385 respondents including faculty members and tourism officers, also found a significant variation in the value of cultural heritage sites based on respondent profiles. This suggests that targeted preservation and promotion efforts could yield substantial economic and social benefits for the region.
