Summary
A collaborative approach integrating digital technologies and local stakeholder involvement has been shown to effectively enhance UNESCO World Heritage Sites, specifically the Sacri Monti of Piedmont and Lombardy. This study demonstrates that Responsible Research Innovation (RRI) can foster socially responsible outcomes by enabling non-professional individuals to envision and contribute to new educational uses of cultural heritage. The methodology leverages digital tools to streamline communication within design processes while promoting collective construction of opportunities, thereby bridging the gap between professional designers and local communities.
