Summary

An active citizen workshop significantly enhanced the soft skills and confidence of young people living near the Borobudur Temple, one of Indonesia's super-priority tourist destinations. The program, adapted from British Council modules, successfully guided participants to recognize their potential, improve communication, map community challenges, and develop action plans for positive social change. Participants reported increased self-awareness, networking abilities, and motivation for community development, demonstrating the workshop's effectiveness in empowering local youth despite limited direct economic benefits from tourism.
