Summary

A significant increase in Punic amphorae on Menorca, particularly from the fourth to first century BCE, marks a shift in trade dynamics. This study reveals that Ebusitan wine was replaced by Tarraconensis wine around the middle of the first century BCE, with most Punic amphorae originating from the central Mediterranean, excluding Ibiza. The research employed modern quantification methods at key sites like Torrellafuda and Son Catlar, providing precise data on ceramic contexts. Notably, no Punic-Iberian production was identified until recently, offering new insights into post-Talayotic trade networks.
