Heritage tourists' perceived value at Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is primarily driven by experiential benefits, including recreation, architectural aesthetics, and education, which stem from walking amenities and social bonding opportunities. Structural equation modeling of survey data from 656 tourists revealed that attributes like crowd control and stable pathways enhance these experiences. The study underscores the importance of managing walking infrastructure to foster deeper engagement with heritage sites.
