Summary
Manaus, Brazil, possesses significant untapped potential as a tourist destination, particularly for its architectural and historical landmarks. A study analyzing urban tourism in Manaus revealed that key sites such as Teatro Amazonas, Mercado Municipal Adolpho Lisboa, Palácio da Justiça, and Igreja do Largo de São Sebastião attract substantial visitor interest. These landmarks, rich in cultural heritage, contribute to the city's identity and preservation efforts. The research employed qualitative and quantitative observational methods, including tourist interviews and data analysis of site visitations, demonstrating that Manaus can leverage its architectural icons to enhance tourism if managed effectively. This finding underscores the importance of preserving and promoting these historical sites for both local culture and global tourism.
