Summary
A significant economic study on date palm farmers in Al-Ahsa Oasis, Saudi Arabia, reveals that production costs and farm area are key positive factors influencing production quantities. Farmers aged 51–61 dominate the sector, with 81.82% having over a decade of experience and 48.86% earning around 10,000 riyals annually. However, low productivity, increased damage rates, and low market prices remain critical obstacles. The study recommends adopting modern technologies, hiring skilled labor, and boosting exports to enhance profits and stabilize local prices. Data was gathered through questionnaires and secondary sources, analyzed using descriptive statistics, regression analysis, and Likert scales.
