Two new species of the fly genus Hilara (Diptera: Empididae) were discovered near Nemrut Mountain Crater Lake in Bitlis Province, Türkiye. The species, Hilara nemrutica spec. nov. and Hilara derenae spec. nov., belong to the maura- and interstincta- groups, respectively. Distinguishing features such as male genitalia and forelegs were illustrated and compared with closely related species.
