Summary
A comprehensive review of the stonefly family Leuctridae (Insecta, Plecoptera) in Wuyi Mountains, China, identifies twelve species, including five new distribution records, representing approximately 20% of China's recorded Leuctridae diversity. The study addresses historical gaps caused by damaged holotypes and limited documentation, providing updated taxonomic keys, new images, and notes for most species. Notably, Rhopalopsole recurvispina (Wu, 1949) is designated as a nomen dubium due to insufficient distinguishing features. This research enhances our understanding of the region's biodiversity, emphasizing Wuyi Mountains' ecological significance as a hotspot for Leuctridae species.
