Summary
A successful model for sustainable rural economic development has emerged from the collaboration of local honey farmers, government agencies, and NGOs within Ujung Kulon National Park (UKNP). The study highlights how the Kelompok Tani Madu Hutan Ujung Kulon (KTMHUK) group leveraged cooperation and small-scale enterprises to thrive economically while upholding conservation efforts. By integrating Michael Porter and Claas van der Linde's theory of sustainable economic development, this case demonstrates that win-win opportunities exist between economic growth and environmental protection, particularly through reduced production-related harm. The research employs qualitative analysis of literature to dissect this model, offering a replicable framework for other rural communities in UKNP and beyond.
