Summary
A new species of Bulbophyllum, B. adiamantinum, has been documented in the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, marking its first record in the state of Goiás, Brazil. This discovery contributes to the understanding of the genus's diversity within the Cerrado biome, one of the most preserved relict areas in Brazil. Researchers identified six Bulbophyllum species through detailed taxonomic analysis, providing diagnostic descriptions, illustrations, and a dichotomous key for identification. The study also offers insights into their environmental preferences, morphological relationships, and phenology, enhancing knowledge of this globally significant orchid genus.
