Summary

A preliminary survey of the Araceae family, conducted between October 14th and 20th, 2019, in Kadamaian-Kinabalu Park, Sabah, Malaysia, revealed a rich diversity of 25 species across nine genera, including at least two undescribed species. This discovery underscores the unique forest ecology of the park, suggesting it should be recognized as a protected area to preserve its biodiversity. The survey covered four trails with varying elevations, from 220 meters to 670 meters above sea level, providing valuable insights into the plant diversity and ecological significance of this region.
