Summary

A strong link exists between park management and tourist satisfaction, with environmental issues acting as a mediator. This finding emerges from a study of 351 visitors to Kinabalu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Malaysia. The research used Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to analyze survey data, revealing that effective park management not only enhances tourist satisfaction but also mitigates environmental concerns. These insights underscore the importance of balancing economic productivity with ecological preservation in managing such sites.
